Engineering Services Ishtek provides software and hardware development expertise in a number of areas. We also provide OEM tailored software development in a number of application areas. Consultants are available for varied development tasks primarily in the technical engineering area. Embedded Systems We have extensive development experience with a number of embedded systems under a variety of O/S and CPU's. Real-time operating systems used include UNIX based systems, NucleusPlus, vxWorks, etc. CPU's used in our developments have included 68000 series processors, MIPS, ARM, PowerPC and others. Some past projects have included networked render servers, video compression systems, SCADA style telemetry control devices, mechanical device controllers, etc. Software development The majority of our engineers are experienced software developers with exposure to many development methodologies. We fully encompass all areas of software development for embedded, desktop, server and distributed systems. Drivers We have developed drivers for embedded systems and mainstream kernel (Windows NT, UNIX) drivers. Some previous developments have included Ethernet, SCSI, USB, Video codec drivers and many more. Application Software We have built a number of software application products. These have included stand-alone applications, client/server systems and web-based applications. Supported platforms include Windows, MacOS and UNIX. Cross platform application development is an area in which we have extensive experience. This includes development using 'Java' and native code cross platform widget sets. Some recent developments have included web based applications using browser technology as the platform. Details on request. Hardware Design Our engineering team encompasses circuit level and PCB design capability as well as custom ASIC development. We can provide fully outsourced development or supply design engineers to assist development teams on-site. ASIC development Our ASIC engineers have a long development history especially in the areas of image processing and Wi-Fi. Development can be done at FPGA, gate array and standard cell level. We currently don't provide outsourced full custom design services however our on-site ASIC engineers are experienced in full custom design and are available for such development projects. OEM services ISHTEK has in-house developed core technology libraries available for licensing on an OEM basis. These techologies are under continual development. OEM inquiries welcome.
